The assignment for this poster was to create a poster that students and parents would like. This poster represents all strands and also explains them. This project really helped me understand what each stand does too.

New Personal Logo

The logo above is my original logo that I made at the beginning of the year. It has all the of my initials, C, M, and R, and they are all connected to make one. I like this logo a lot because it is simple and modern.

The logo above is my recent logo. Because of my love for the beach I decided that my logo should have an ocean theme. My logo is very clean and modern, and the starfish represents divine love. I chose for the font to be a light blue because it resembles the ocean. It also resembles peace, trust, loyalty, and integrity. I like this logo a lot because it represents me and what I love.

My mood board consists of logos that I really like. I had logos of anchors, seahorses, waves, and starfish all in my art board and got some of my inspiration from these logos.

The business card above has my final logo on it. This business card represents me because it incorporates the beach. I also really like how it is very settle but still makes a statement about my work.

VC Tutorial

The tutorial I chose taught me how to make a graffiti animation in After Effects. I started by typing my name using the text tool, shown in the picture to the left, and then animated it.  The first step to animating it was to draw over the letters using the pen tool, and then used the stroke tool to make it appear like I am writing the letters.

To finish animating it I turned the stroke effect end down all the way, which put a Keyframe in the beginning of the animation. I went a couple seconds in and pushed end all they way back up, this put another keyframe in and I had my animation. I also added a wall and a floor, and used the rotation tool to make them seem 3D.

Next, I added a light to make the wall and floor seem even more 3D. The light added a lot of depth to the animation and made it look grungy.

The final step was to add paint blotches so that it looked like someone was spilling paint on the wall, like a graffiti artist would. The hardest part of the tutorial was getting the walls, floor, and letters to move at the same time.

I can use this project in the future for a video, animation, or a graphic design project. Overall I really enjoyed this tutorial and would recommend it. I do like my final product. I wish that there had been more color added into the tutorial so it would look more lively and fun. I changed a couple things about the tutorial. The first was the color of the paint. I changed this because in the tutorial it looks more like blood than paint. The second thing was the wall and floor.

Kerning is when you adjust characters spacing based on a proportional point. While kerning you usually place the characters closer together than normal.

Movie Poster

My movie was the Parent Trap. The movie is about Two long lost twins who trade places to try to get their parents back together. My poster resembles one of Saul's posters because of the cartoon look of them. However my poster has more colors than the posters by Saul Bass and is not quite as simple. Saul bass made very extraordinary posters that were famous for their simplicity. The picture below is one of the more simple ones he did.

Google

Google changes their logo every day. They have a variety of looks that people everywhere can enjoy. For every holiday they have a  logo incorporating the holiday in it. For example they may do a chocolate logo on Valentines day or christmas trees on Christmas. Founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998 Google has grown from a private company into the worlds favorite information source. Millions of people every day use google to get information.Google even has a competition where people can send in their own creations. The colors are used to represent playfulness without having bulky objects or symbols. The logo represents that Google isn't a company that plays by the rules.

Plausible impossible

While eating soup at the table Gus Goose uses two spoons to get the soup into his mouth. As you can see in this picture the spoons stop about halfway up. Gus Goose is slurping the soup into his mouth from the spoons. Although this is understandable in the movie, this is nearly impossible in real life. Gravity would keep the soup in the spoon or in his lap.
This image shows Gus Goose running though the door, leaving a hole in the shape of his body behind. This was done to create effect in the film and show what happened to the door. If there was just a hole in the door, the audience might not know what happened to it. This is impossible however because if someone or something were to run through door, there would be a gigantic hole in the wall, not in the exact shape of the object.
During this scene Gus Goose is sucking all the peas across the table through the straw into his mouth. He moves from side to side and the peas follow and curve into his straw. In real life this would not be plausible for a number of reasons. The peas would not curve to go into the straw and they wouldn't come from the other end of the table. It was used in the film to show how much Gus Goose wanted the food on the table.
When Gus Goose first arrives he bangs on Donald's door. When he does this the door caves in as he bangs it, looking like it is made of rubber. This would be impossible in real life because doors are solid and made out of wood. It works in the film though because it emphasizes how hard he is hitting the door, as well a showing how the noise makes Donald shake from inside the house.
While eating many sandwiches at once Gus Goose's throat shapes into an accordion shape. The sandwiches are swallowed whole and to show that Disney shows the shapes of the sandwiches in his throat. In the film this makes since and seems possible. However in the real world this would not happen.

Poster

This poster is full of my favorite things. One of these things is my church, RezWest. I have only been coming to this church for about a year ad a half. Earlier this year I became a member and a couple months ago I got my first job in the daycare. I love this church and all of the people inside of it. Outside of school and home this is where I spend most of my time. Another one of my favorites is the raven dance team. I have been on the Junior varsity team for the past two years and loved very second of it. The girls on the team are like my family and I don't know what I would do without them. This year I am an officer on the team and will be trying out next year as well. I plan to be on the team for all four years of high school and cant wait to make new memories with the girls. Lastly, my favorite of all is my mom. She has been there for me though so much and I can honestly say that she is my best friend. We both act so much alike and I don't know what I would do if she wasn't around.
